Present version: 1.3

1.3 New feature: bugs. :)
- the present functionality has finally outstripped the original code design, and that has caused a few bugs. I have patched out as much as I can, and I have a plan for an internal redesign of the code, but it would be a major task. On the upside, this version now includes the ability to put a character out of action for a number of years, such as having been put in prison or renditioned, institutionalized, and so on. This broke the original design because the original code design picked a number of life events, described them, and then gave them a year. Updates have required making sure years did not collide, such as ensuring no pregnancies after menopause, and now - years need to be 'blacked out' if the character is away during that time. You can very well do a job if you're in a coma.

A redesign would need to create the event in order, moving up a timeline, but still ensuring that right number of events was created - something I avoided originally because no matter what odds I gave to each year up the line, the results looked stacked. Now I have a better idea of how I would do it, but it means rewriting all of the chronology code.

Bug wise, every so often now you will see something fishy, like 'undefined' or a year duplicated - but it is very uncommon. When I have time, I will redesign.

- Data Facts has had some expansion to include for additional concepts. Most of them add an increasingly dark tone to the genre.

1.2 change is to allow the amount of cyberware to be cusomized for each genre. In addition I have added a button to recall the current PC, so that you do not have to 'store' it before looking back. A few very minor additions were also made to the data.

If you have Flash Player 7 or later you can simply double click the swf file to run the generator.

I tried exporting an exe and mac executable, but it wrapped in the data files which prevents people from being able to change them... so, swf it is.

Please don't redistribute this - keeping it centrally located allows me to ensure people can have the current version with any current bug fixes.

The exception to that is that if the website for it does go down and stay down, well, then, pass this thing around if attempts to contact me over it fail.

Otherwise feel free to tell people where it is.

If you make edits to the text files you think are worth sharing, let me know.

This generator should in theory always be findable at one of these two sites:
